Wake holds first community meeting on 2011-12 assignment
Wake County school system staff will address issues of possible overcrowding and changes to the traditional calendar during a series of community workshops.
School district staff will also talk about the assignment of students to the new Walnut Creek Elementary School.
Each meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the school. School staff will provide an introduction, then participants will be then be divided into small groups for feedback.
Three more two-hour work sessions are planned:
- Tuesday: Southeast Raleigh Magnet High, at 2600 Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh
- Thursday: Cary High, at 638 Walnut St. in Cary
- Nov. 22: Garner High, 2101 Spring Drive in Garner
Pre-registration for all sessions is recommended but not required.
