IU adds running back Houston

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Running back Stephen Houston, who attended Lakota West High School as a senior where he rushed for 887 yards and scored 11 times has joined the Indiana football program.
The school made the announcement in a news release on Thursday.
The 6-0, 220-pound Houston rushed for 1,082 yards and five touchdowns at Independence (Kan.) Community College in 2010. He averaged 6.6 yards on 165 carries in his only season of action after redshirting in 2009. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
The Little Rock, Ark., native was also a standout hurdler.
