Carson Women’s Club to present scholarships

Women’s club to present scholarships: The Carson Women’s Club will honor 15 high school seniors and nine continuing college students with $1,000 and $500 scholarships, respectively, on Saturday.
The senior honorees will be Grace Agnes, Steven Dine, Tracey Harris, Krizelle Magdirila, Desiree Mays, Deniza Sabio, Chelsea Sangalang, Kayla Thomas-Cole and Aliso Togia, of Carson High School; Karina Simpson of California Academy of Mathematics and Science ; Omobolanie Adeniran of Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy in Wilmington; Britney Carpenter and Munachimso Ezumah of King Drew Medical Magnet in Los Angeles; Maissa Zulum of Torrance High School and Christopher Payton of View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School.
A scholarship luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. in the Dominguez Room of the Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center, 801 E. Carson St., Carson.
