This Week’s OLS/LMS Upgrades, In Detail
By now, many of you have heard about some upcoming improvements to the Online School that are being developed based directly from feedback received from our families, which aim to improve the overall experience including the Math+ and MARK¹² Reading courses.
Good news! Beginning February 16-18th, you’ll start seeing some of these Online School improvements, making the management of courses and the overall experience smoother and more intuitive.
The four new enhancements described below will provide: better flexibility using a new lesson navigator; the ability to enter attendance when marking lessons complete; the ability to input multiple answers on a single screen for offline assessments; and the ability to print any assessment.
Lesson Navigator:
The lesson navigator provides a list of the lessons activities and assessments. It will give you the flexibility to go back and review previous parts of the lesson or navigate the lesson in a way that best suits your students needs. By creating this lesson navigator, you can now jump to any part of Math+ or Mark12 Reading lesson.
You will find this new lesson navigator on the left hand lesson menu bar, where you can then choose the activity or assessment you would like to open.
Entering Attendance:
Keeping in mind how busy our families are, we updated the Online school to allow you to enter attendance when marking a lesson complete. Our goal was to save you time, so now you dont have to remember to go back into the attendance page and enter the time later!
Once your student has completed the lesson, you will see a checkbox where you can mark the lesson complete and then you will have the ability to enter the attendance time for this lesson. Keep in mind that the time you enter is added to any other time you have entered for the day.
Grading Input:
We definitely heard your feedback regarding the number of screens you have to scroll through to enter answers! You will now be able to enter multiple answers for your students offline lesson assessment instead of one answer per screen!
Navigate to and open the assessment for your students lesson. You will be presented with multiple questions per screen where you can enter your students answers.
Print Assessments:
Print any assessment you are viewing by clicking the Print button on the left side of the lesson window. This update will allow you to print all Math+ and MARK¹² Reading courses assessment questions at one time.
Our courses, including Math+ and MARK¹² Reading, are designed and developed by a team of curriculum experts and course designers who believe receiving feedback is vital to our design and development process. So, as you begin to use these new features – which will start appearing sometime between Feb 16th (at the earliest) and Feb 18th (at the latest) – please dont hesitate to let us know your thoughts!
